I recently told someone that I don't put personal stuff on my blog- that I blog about politics and economics. Well, that statement was quite false although I didn't realise it at the time.  I put personal things on there although I hadn't for a short while in the middle. But I'm usually diplomatic and guarded even when I talk about myself and writing for me is a craft(or art) that somehow sits beyond the foolish details of my personal life. It just so happens that what I can write most directly about is my personal experience (what I know best)
