I came across this article on Le Monde about the growing number of people converting to bush-style evangelical christians in Algeria and Morocco:

It's scary to think these people walk around in our midst preaching their strange stories, growing their numbers. I once worked for a christian fundamentalist- it was unfortunate how he thought in such fixed narrow ways. He compensated by being very very nice to you at all times.

I wonder if these are the foot-soldiers of the other al-qaeda, the one that has fighter jets and fancy cars.
